Masterfully bronze sculpture of a ancient archers was executed On the turn of 20th century by Polish-German sculptor Paul Ludwig Kowalczewski (1865 now Mielyn/Poland - 1910 Berlin).Kowalczewski studied at the Berlin Academy of Arts for three years from 1895. His work included primarily bronze busts and sculptures of the Art Nouveau with profane depictions of working people, but also warriors, archers, victorious poses and occasionally birds. Between 1899 and 1906 he regularly showed his works at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition.The artists brother, Karl Kowalczewski (1867-1927), was also a sculptor. Her sister Dorota married the Mayor of Wroclaw, Paul Matting
